Early

by carolynholm

Cher Madame,
Everything is early now. It is mayhem, Madame.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
It’s the time change. I’m sure it is completely confusing for all of you.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
Cats do not become confused. Alors, it is Madame who is confused and doing everything early.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I don’t know how you always know exactly what time it is, but it’s a good thing we have you here to keep us organized.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
The regulated schedule, she is of supreme importance.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I can’t imagine what a mess we’d be in if we didn’t have you to keep us on track.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
Ouf, zut! Monsieur would serve our breakfast at the wrong hour. Madame would forget to take Poppy out for a walk. And dinner? Who knows, Madame would probably forget the dinner entirely. Meanwhile, what would become of the evening games? Madame would keep reading and reading, and then go to bed without playing the games.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
But you would come to me, bringing your face right up to my face. You’d stare at me with your earnest round green eyes, and make it quite clear to me just what we should be doing.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
Except for the walk. I do not do the reminder for the dog. Poppy is in charge of her own walk.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
