For a dog who hasn’t been with us for years, Molly sure causes a lot of trouble. We’ve been over and over this. I’m so sick of this predator story. I wish you hadn’t listened to her.

Molly was very smart.

She was scary smart, but she was wrong on this one. So, rest assured, we are going away briefly, and then we are coming home again. Meanwhile I hope you and Puffin won’t tell Winston this story about the predators.

True, he’s never known us to go anywhere. A classic pandemic kitten. All he knows is lockdown.

He doesn’t understand that the predators might eat you. If he really understood that, he would be worried.

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO EAT US. There is nothing to be worried about. How many times do I have to say this? Nothing to be worried about! And you will be well cared for while we are gone.
