Le Chaos

by carolynholm

Cher Madame,
C’est tout chaos. Madame must do something.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
Our Christmas Party is always a bit disorderly, sweetie. It’s wonderful to have a lot of family visiting us.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
Alors, Christmas was a week ago.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I explained this to all of you. We changed the date for the family Christmas Party because I had emergency surgery and we couldn’t do it as originally planned. So you just need to find a way to adjust your attitude. Reframe it. Look at it as an adventure!
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
This petit cat does not do the adventure.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
Then maybe you reframe it by considering the visitors just a minor inconvenience, one that barely requires your notice.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame.
C’est impossible. First the dogs. The two disorderly mutts are here. That turns the entire house upside-down. And the old lady dog, she is rude.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I’m sorry about that. I know, she does bark rudely when she sees you. And she is deaf, so she doesn’t hear us when we try to stop her.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
The other putain d’idiot stares at me.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
We don’t need to start calling the dogs nasty names. He’s a youngster, that’s all. And if he’s staring, he’s not barking. He’s very curious about you two cats.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
He has the look of an animal who is ready to chase after this petit cat.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
He’s probably afraid of you. You easily outweigh him.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
If he comes at me, I will slash him.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I’m sure that won’t be necessary. And let’s keep in mind that these are guests, and we don’t greet our guests with violence. Not usually, anyway.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
There are too many people. The house is full to bursting with strange people. One of them picked me up.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
That was my nephew. He likes cats – in fact he lives with two cats! You should be grateful that he didn’t bring them.
Love, Carolyn

Cher Madame,
That would be more than our house could take. Our feeders have been moved to the bedroom. There is noisy laughing and dogs barking. All this is a lot to ask of a pauvre petit cat.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
Ahh, you are such a Scrooge. It will be normal again soon enough, sweetie, and we’ll all wonder why it is so quiet.
Love, Carolyn
