Frosty
by carolynholm
Dear Puffin,
I thought you’d be glad to see us, now that we are home from our weekend away. But you are so frosty! Poppy is still jumping up and down with excitement, Winston races around saying “You came back!!!!!” and you, Puffin, you barely raised your head to look at the front door, and then turned away again.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Pah.
M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
Whoa, that’s harsh. Maybe I’ll just leave you alone for a bit.
Love, Carolyn

Dear Puffin,
Now that we’ve been home for an hour, how are you feeling?
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
This petit cat does not acknowledge the home-coming.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
You haven’t moved from the sofa. You still have your back turned to us. This is a lot of drama, sweetie. When will you thaw out?
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
There is much that Madame and Monsieur have done to fail this pauvre petit cat.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
Seriously? I’m sorry you’re so upset, but it was only one weekend away, and you were cared for by Cathie! You all love Cathie!
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
The fact that Cathie is wonderful, c’est irrelevant. We were abandoned.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I’m glad you showed up to have your dinner.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Dinner she is late.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin
Maybe you will warm up enough to enjoy our game time later.
Love, Carolyn

Dear Puffin,
Okay, game time was a bust.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
The game tonight, she is not amusante. But Madame is to be acknowledged for trying.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
I’m glad you are willing to curl up on a corner of the bed. Are you feeling better about things?
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Peut-être a tiny bit better.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

Dear Puffin,
Wow a loving meow and a big warm kiss at 3 in the morning! I love you too, Puffy!
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Oui, all is forgiven.
Regards, M. Le Poufin

I had a cat like that. Funny creatures, so like humans in many ways!
So glad Le Puffin forgave you.
We cats like having our people around.
We do not like being abandoned (even when mum says I an not being abandoned) !
However, I an always happy to see her.
I see her more now she is retired 🙂

Such drama makes parting a sweet sorrow. Glad you are back together
