Stress Eating
by carolynholm
Cher Madame,
Those miserable curs still reside in our house. The elderly one and the tiny one. Two miserable curs.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
Let’s not start with the name-calling. Mika and Musso are two sweet dogs who are part of our extended family. We are babysitting them for my daughter while she is traveling. I don’t want to hear any more rude disparaging remarks from you. See if you can be more like Winston. He is cautious, but very curious about our visitors.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
What does the Winston know? He is a sweet but ignorant cat.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
I get it, sweetie. This is a bit stressful for you, so you are grumpy. I should probably try to be more sympathetic.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Bien sûr, the sympathy is something Madame and Monsieur both need to show more of. This morning Monsieur said he was going to toss this petit cat out of the window.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
Oh dear. He didn’t really mean it. He was annoyed because you woke us so early, yelling for breakfast. He wouldn’t really throw you out of the window.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
And then there was the consternation last night about the dinner.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
For crying out loud, you jammed Winston’s feeder open, and ate all his food! Of course that got everyone all worked up. Sweetie, you have been Stress Eating. You are anxious about the visiting dogs.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Bien sûr, they create the commotion.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
There have been some barking outbursts, but not many. Actually, our Poppy is the problem – she goes crazy when they come near you, because she thinks she needs to defend you. I wish she would stay out of it! Because if you two cats don’t run, they won’t bark and chase you. They are mostly just very curious about you.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
The Poppy she is defending The Pack.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
Let’s try to think of Musso and Mika as part of The Pack as well.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
They cornered me by Monsieur’s desk. It was rude.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
They caught you trying to get Monsieur’s treat drawer open. Sweetie, there we have it – more stress eating.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
The stress of two extra dogs in our house.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
Dear Puffin,
The dogs will be here for just a few more days, and then they will go home to Los Angeles. So, let’s see if you can just stop glaring at everyone, and try to have a positive attitude.
Love, Carolyn
Cher Madame,
Does Madame plan to encourage this positive attitude with the dinner? And the snacks? And the little treats? Hopefully Madame has this understanding of the positive attitude.
Regards, M. Le Poufin
